Have you heard about Ibotta yet? If you are looking for paying less money at the grocery store, then you have to check it out. I love saving money and there are a LOT of grocery savings with Ibotta. I also love making money with a smart phone and this app does this too! This article will get you started and put money in your wallet.
Want To Know How Mama Makes Money With This App?
I am so glad you asked! I make anywhere between $50-$75 a month simply shopping for food! This post is all about grocery savings with Ibotta and how to get started. Are you ready? Then here we go!
What is Ibotta?
Ibotta is a free smart phone app. You can find it on Android and Apple. Instead of cutting coupons and hauling them all to the store, Ibotta does all of that for you, before you arrive. Manufacturers post their offers at stores such as Wal-Mart, Whole Foods, Target, Walgreens and even Walgreens and Groupon. There are a LOT of stores already on Ibotta and they add more all the time.
Choosing A Team
Having an active team is essential to making money with Ibotta. You and your team receive bonuses (which is free money) for each purchase that occurs. You want a team that is active and will continue to use the app, so everyone wins!
When you download Ibotta, you can join our team by adding this code:
Why do you want to be on our team? Because we rock! But also because you receive a $10 bonus for using the code at signup.
Before You Shop
Open the application and open up the available coupons at your favorite store. Unlock each of the coupons that you are interested. Then, go buy those products. Make sure to save your receipt at the end of your trip.
Make sure you upload your items before you get to the store or order online. This guarantees you are not staring at your phone during the entirety of your shopping trip.
Grocery Savings With Ibotta – Having Success
As with other coupon apps, make sure that there are no exclusions on the rebate you are redeeming. Ibotta has a feature to check the barcode of the item before you buy it, in order to make sure that you are purchasing the right item.
Also be sure to check if a rebate requires more than one purchase. For instance, the current Oreo rebate that is being offered is for a coupon of $1.00 off. However, it requires that you purchase 2 packages of America’s favorite cookie. With two tweens living in our home, this is never a big deal, but make sure that you read the coupon fully before checking out at the store.
After Your Shopping Trip
When you get home and are putting up your items, verify your purchases by scanning the receipt and the individual products. Within 24 hours, your money appears in your Ibotta account.
I always save my receipt until I receive a confirmation (which usually never takes longer than 24 hours) message inside the app saying that the purchases have been verified. Once your purchases are documented, the money will show up in the app, along with any bonus cash you may have unlocked with your purchases. Once you have received over $20, you can transfer the money to Paypal, Venmo, or a variety of gift cards.
Be sure to check your Ibotta app for new and varied rebates every week. This week, I used Ibotta for an oil change at my local Groupon application. I simply opened the Ibotta app and clicked on Groupon. While the Groupon for the oil change saved me $25 already, opening Ibotta first provided an additional $5.25 in rebates and moved me one step closer to a bonus this month.
Have you already begun making money with grocery savings with Ibotta? I would love to hear about it and what is the favorite thing that you have bought so far.
If you need some kitchen inspiration for meal planning, then you will love this post about meal planning with Ibotta. So go shop and let someone else take care of what to plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
